jolly gorgeous Art Gallery opened in Summer 2011 in Kemp Town and is holding several exciting event days in the weeks ahead. There will be a Pop Art day on the 28th October 2011 with various collectors on sale for one day only including Damien Hirsts wall papers, Banksy's records and covers, and the jewel in the crown being a signed Warhol poster from his 1971 exhibition at the Tate in London that winter. Bikewatch is a new initiative to encourage the community to keep an eye on bicycles parked around the area in Kemp Town to reduce the number of bike thefts. If you have any reason to belive a bike is being stolen call the police.
Impetus is an organisation empowering people in the local community. Impetus are currently seeking volunteers for the Neighbourhood Care Scheme in St James's and Kemp Town.
